1.
How does the TrakHeadz Label Program get my songs into the hands of the
NCIAA Club DJs?
Answer - When you upload a song
into the TrakHeadz database, it is randomly distributed to
the accounts of our DJ membership. When a DJ logs into his/her account, your
song will be waiting there for him/her to review.
2.
What guarantees that a DJ will listen to my
song?
Answer As a condition to
maintaining their NCIAA Membership, each DJ member agrees to listen to
all songs submitted to him/her within 30 days of receiving it. However, its
important to note that the real motivation to listen to yours as well as
other songs submitted comes from the DJs themselves. Our DJ Members are
professionals, who require new music and artist's constantly. They are
excited at the prospect of discovering great new music that both they and
their audience can enjoy.
3. Is
it safe to up load my music over the Internet?
Answer Yes.
The TrakHeadz Distribution System uses SSL 128 bit encryption
to ensure that your songs are protected when posted on our site. Only
selected staff and those DJ members who have been authorized to review them
have access to your songs.
4. I
opened a Trakheadz Distribution Account, submitted a song and it was not
distributed. Why?
Answer While we
provide an equal opportunity for all of its label members to have
their music reviewed, there are certain criteria that each song must meet in
terms of audio quality before they are distributed to our DJ members.
This
is because our DJs are interested in downloading songs that are ready to be
played in their clubs and/or radio station. If a song has bad audio quality,
a DJ will not be able to play it. TrakHeadz staff monitors
all songs that are uploaded to ensure that they meet minimum standards of
audio quality. Songs that fall short in this regard are not distributed. In
the event that this happens your Label account will not be billed for
the submission. Finally, TrakHeadz does not review songs to
ascertain their hit potential or lack thereof. We leave that task up to
those who are most qualified to make that determination
the
professional DJ.
5. Can
I submit an entire album for review?
Answer Currently we only
accepts single song uploads. You can however, upload each song from your CD
one at a time, or subscribe to our Gold or Platinum Account that offers you
multiple songs uploads at a discount. There are plans in the immediate
future to accomodate complete album uploads.
6. Do
you collect money from CD Sales that I make as a result of the exposure I
receive via your site?
Answer No! We
only charge a basic membership and fee to upload the song. There are no
other hidden costs. For more information about pricing Please click
